Sound
The sound on the Echo is good for the size and cost of the speaker. Other speakers like the Sonos One have better sound but are not comparable in price. For the price this has good sound. Being small it does not have a large sub for bass so although the sounds is very crisp it lacks bass a little. I for one do not mind this one bit as I typically turn bass down if it is somewhat loud. For the price the sound is good.
The sound will fill most rooms and if you have more than one speaker you are able to connect them all for a very interactive listening experience.
Design
Above is a picture of the inside of the new Dolby sound system. It now has a 2.5″ subwoofer and 0.6″ tweeter.
The new design of the Gen 2 looks better than the 1st Gen for sure. You have some color and finish options at checkout as well.
The top has a light that will pulse when Alexa is listening to you or when timers/alarms go off.
My Favorite Uses
I love being able to have a song in my head and just being able to tell Alexa to play it. Or play a play list. We also use the timer quite often when cooling. You can just say Alexa set a timer for 10 minutes. I also set personal reminders with her almost daily. Kids have fun asking Alexa questions for hours!
TCL Value & Recommendation
I have 3 of these TV's at my home and for me they are good enough quality. They connect easily to wifi, apps are seamless and it is very easy to use.
